Tenerife has enviable conditions in which to play golf. The Island has nine excellent courses, each of which has different topography's and landscapes. They have been designed by world class professionals such as Pepe Gancedo, Donald Steel, Severiano Ballesterosa and John Jacobs. The hosting of the important PGA tournaments is a regular occurrence in Tenerife. Close by, the neighbouring island of La Gomera is easily accessible for an interesting round of stunning views across the Atlantic Ocean.

The gentle temperatures in Tenerife, with a year round average of twenty-three degrees centigrade, allows one to enjoy this sport during any season far from the cool winter climate and excessive heat in the summer continent.

Within the activities of Tenerife golf is the organization and promotion of important PGA tournaments such as the Tenerife Ladies Open and the Canaries Open of Spain.
